ဓမ္မော ဟဝေ ရက္ခတိ ဓမ္မာစာရိံ။ To those who guard the law, the law guards in return.

တရားစောင့်သောသူကို တရားက ပြန်၍ စောင့်သည်။ (ဓမ္မော = တရားသည်၊ ဓမ္မာစာရိံ = တရာစောင့်သောသူကို၊ ဟဝေ = စင်စစ်ဧကန်၊ ရက္ခတိ = စောင့်ရှောက်၏။) He who walks in righteousness walks in safety. The inference of the saying is that protection is a benefit of living a righteous life. (Dhamma = the law, Dhamma Sarin = the one who upholds the law, Hawei = truely, Rakti = protects.) Other similar proverbs around the world are: “"Righteousness guards the person of integrity," "Virtue is its own shield.," "Heaven protects the good," and "Karma catches up with everyone." to name a few.
